[Personal] My Journey with Country Radio

This was my first-ever country radio tour and I can’t even believe I get to play my original song broadcasted live to people who don’t know me — it’s an experience I never thought I’d be doing on my own. Overall, the entire experience is amazing. Every single person has been genuine and seems to love the single. I’ve received so much support and encouragement and much more so than I ever expected. I assumed getting into this, I’d do a quick interview and then be in and out super fast but every station had me in for about 30-45 minutes performing original music on air. That was such a cool thing to experience. With this being my first radio tour, I’ve learned so much about the radio industry and it was something I didn’t know much about. I just wish I could hang out with radio every day.

The coolest thing I did outside of the stations was staying in this amazing small town (with no cell phone signal) called Lynnville, IA. The AirBNB I rented was an old bank and I got the BEST malt shakes from the gas station down the street. It’s so much fun being exposed to so many new places and so many towns. Each small town was so unique and special.

A special thank you to all of the stations that invited me out and let me play and sing and I hope I get a chance to come back. If you haven’t heard “Little by Little” just click here.

Thank you so much to every single station.
